ISC Class 12 students will be allowed to use calculators during Semester 1 exams
The Council for Indian School Certificate Exams (CISCE), which conducts the Indian School Certificate (ISC), or Class 12 exams, will allow students taking the Semester 1 2021-22 exams to use calculators. The board will allow the Casio fx – 82 MS (scientific) calculator or calculators from other manufacturers with similar functions to be used by the pupils of the 12th grade. Semester 1 exams for ISC class 12 students began on Monday, November 22. ISC Class 12 exams in Semester 1 will continue until December 20.

The board, in a statement dated November 24, said: “This confirms that applicants are permitted to use the Casio fx – 82 MS (scientific) calculator or calculators from other brands with similar functions.”
CISCE Exam Semester 1: Key points
- Candidates are advised to answer only the number of questions mentioned in the question and answer booklet.
- On the first sheet of the Question Paper – Cum – Answer booklet, candidates must sign in the space provided for this purpose.
- Applicants must clearly write their unique identification number (unique identification number) and index number on the first page of the question-and-answer booklet in the space provided. All entries on the Question Paper – Cum – Answer booklet should only be made with a black / blue ink pen
For the 2022 board review, the board follows a different method of conducting reviews. The academic session was divided into two semesters, with approximately 50 percent of the program being covered in each semester. The exams of trimester 1 will take place for objective type questions. The exams for semester 1 ICSE, or class 10, will start from November 29.
